Once we finish bikeshedding the domain (#1) we need to set up email for the org and members @our.new.domain

How should it be hosted? I don't think we necessarily want to jump straight into email hosting, that's a real pain

I have been very happy with Fastmail. You can use your own domain and have multiple aliases.

I would like to support Proton with Proton mail but the restrictions of encryption aren't fun by default with 3rd party apps. Yes there is the proton-bridge but that doesn't support cal/CardDAV for 3rd party integration (if that's something you are interested in.)

We already have CardDAV and CalDAV from Nextcloud. Fastmail is a good option. Probably the best. We should learn to do GPG client side anyway, and I don't have positive experience with Protonmail, I've been wanting to move away from it for a while.
